About Us

Twenty years ago, our journey into the world of alpacas began with the purchase of two pet males. At the time, we had no idea the incredible path we were about to embark on. These boys were simply meant to be pets, but as we became more involved with these gentle and exotic camelids — still relatively new to Canada at the time — we quickly realized we had so much to learn. Despite the challenges, we fell in love with them nonetheless.

Averegan Alpacas was named after our two daughters, Avery and Regan, with the hope of creating something they could grow with — a lifestyle rooted in kindness, gentleness, and respect for both animals and people. What began as a simple dream slowly grew into a passion, a business, and a way of life.

The care and wellbeing of our animals has always remained at the heart of everything we do. We believe that happy, healthy alpacas produce the finest fibre, and we take great pride in providing exceptional care for every animal on our farm. That same philosophy extends into the products we offer, carefully choosing only the best alpaca fibre and alpaca-made items to share with our customers.

As this milestone anniversary encourages reflection, we look back with gratitude on an incredible twenty-year journey. Along the way, we have accomplished things we once believed were beyond our capabilities. We have experienced tremendous joy, meaningful friendships, and unforgettable memories. We have also learned that where there is great joy, there can also be great loss. Through it all, we choose to focus on the positive, continue learning, and always move forward.
